明けましておめでとうございます。新年を迎えるにあたり、会員の皆様へ愛と感謝をお伝えします。 昨年までの「イエス・キリストと固く結ばれる～神殿の聖約と儀式を通して～」というテーマのもと、多くの方が信仰と奉仕に励まれたことに感謝いたします。各ワードや支部において、神殿参入が定期的な習慣となり、神殿の推薦状を大切に保持する会員が増えたことは、まさに皆様が主と固く結ばれてきた証です。儀式を通じて得た霊的な力が、皆様の生活に確かな変化をもたらしているものと確信しています。
主の預言者や地域会長会からの招きに従い、この度ステークテーマを新たに「主イエス・キリストの弟子として、愛をもって聖餐会へ招き、温かく迎える」にすることにしました。このテーマは、私たちが救い主の弟子として、愛をもって家族や友人を聖餐会に招き、来られた方々を心から歓迎することを強調しています。
ダリン・H・オークス大管長は、私たちが招く場所である「聖餐会」の重要性について次のように教えています。
「聖餐会は，聖餐の儀式が行われる場であることから，教会における最も神聖で重要な集会です。聖餐に加えて，この集会の内容は常にわたしたちの意識を主イエス・キリストの贖罪と教えに向けるものとなります。」

聖餐会に招くことは、大切な人々が主の御霊を感じ、主を知るための最も効果的な方法です。私たちの隣人を愛し、イエス・キリストの回復された福音を伝えて、“来て、見る”よう招きましょう。

私たちは、招きに応じて来られた方々に対して、主の弟子として最大限の温かい歓迎をしたいと願っています。その方々が御霊を感じ、「イエス・キリストについて、また福音についてもっと知りたい」という気持ちを抱けるよう、皆で助け合っていきましょう。
このテーマを単なる目標に留めないために、私たち一人ひとりが「主がどのような情景を望んでおられるか」という具体的なビジョンを持つことが大切だと感じています。皆様のワードや支部、そしてご家庭や個人で、以下のような情景を思い描いてみていただきたいと思います。
- 誰もが自然に家族や友人を聖餐会に招き、来られた方々が温かく受け入れられ、互いに愛と喜びを分かち合っている姿。
- 初めて教会に来られた方々が、分かりやすい言葉や美しい音楽を通して、イエス・キリストの福音の教義と原則を学び、高められている姿。
- 聖餐会が会員の家族や友人たちで溢れ、宣教師たちへの紹介を待つ人々が列をなしている姿。
幼いお子様からご年配の方に至るまで、すべての世代の会員がイエス・キリストの深い愛を感じ、主の弟子として共に歩み、成長し合える集いの場を目指しましょう。
各ワードや支部で神権の鍵を持つ指導者と評議会の指導者が、祈りを通じて受ける具体的な啓示と導きに従いながら、私たち会員が宣教師と力を合わせてイスラエルの集合の業に積極的に参加できるよう、心からお招きします。
私たちが主の弟子として歩み、隣人に愛の手を差し伸べて招くとき、私たちはかつてない御霊の喜びに満たされることでしょう。2026年も主の導きと祝福が皆様のうえに豊かにありますよう、心からお祈りいたします。

Dear Members of the Tokyo Stake,
Happy New Year! As we welcome the new year, we wish to express our love and gratitude to everyone. Under last year’s theme, “Bound securely to Jesus Christ through temple covenants and ordinances,” We are deeply grateful for all who devoted themselves to faith and service. In each ward and branch, temple attendance has become a regular habit, and more members are faithfully maintaining their temple recommends. This is a clear witness that you have been securely bound to the Lord. We are confident that the spiritual power gained through temple ordinances is bringing real and meaningful changes to our lives.
In response to the invitation from the Lord’s prophet and the Area Presidency, we have chosen a new stake theme:
“As disciples of Jesus Christ, invite with love to sacrament meeting and welcome warmly.”
This theme emphasizes our role as disciples of the Savior—to lovingly invite family and friends to sacrament meeting and to warmly welcome those who come.
President Dallin H. Oaks taught about the sacred importance of sacrament meeting:
“The ordinance of the sacrament makes the sacrament meeting the most sacred and important meeting in the Church. Its content, in addition to the sacrament, should always be presented to focus our attention on the Atonement and teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Inviting others to sacrament meeting is one of the most effective ways for them to feel the Spirit and come to know the Lord. Let us love our neighbors, share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and invite them to “Come and See.”

We desire to extend the warmest welcome to those who respond to our invitations, as true disciples of Christ. Let us work together so that they can feel the Spirit and develop a sincere desire to learn more about Jesus Christ and His gospel.
To ensure this theme becomes more than just a goal, each of us should hold a clear vision of “what the Lord desires us to see.” In your wards, branches, homes, and personal lives, please envision scenes like these:
- Members naturally inviting their families and friends to sacrament meetings, warmly welcoming them, and sharing love and joy together.
- First-time visitors learning and being uplifted through clear, simple words and beautiful music as they come to understand the doctrines and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Sacrament meetings filled with members’ families and friends, and people eagerly waiting to be introduced to the missionaries.
Let us strive to make sacrament meeting a gathering place where members of all ages—from young children to senior citizens—feel the deep love of Jesus Christ and walk together as His disciples, growing side by side.
As leaders who hold priesthood keys and members of ward and branch councils follow the specific guidance they receive through prayer, we sincerely invite you to actively participate in the great work of gathering Israel together with the missionaries.
As we walk as disciples of the Lord and extend a hand of love to invite others, we will be filled with unprecedented joy through the Spirit. We sincerely pray that the Lord’s guidance and abundant blessings will be with you throughout 2026.
